Privacy Policy

This policy covers two separate things, worth keeping apart because they behave very differently: the powerprr.com website, and the Power PRR Redaction Desktop Suite software you install on your own computer.

1. The desktop software

Your files stay on your computer

All redaction work — text extraction, OCR, transcription, face detection, audio and video re-encoding — runs locally on your Windows machine using components bundled inside the application. No file you open, and no content extracted from it, is transmitted anywhere.

Where the software stores working files

While you work on a job, the application writes working copies and job data into your Windows user profile, under your local application data folder. These stay on your machine and remain under your control. Deleting a job in the application, or deleting that folder, removes them. Redacted output is written wherever you choose to save it.

What the software sends over the internet

The application contains no analytics, telemetry, usage tracking, advertising, or automatic crash reporting of any kind.

The one exception is licence verification. To confirm your subscription is active, the software communicates with the licensing service operated by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy. That exchange contains only:

• your licence key;
• an identifier for the installation being activated, so a licence can be tied to a workstation;
• the response indicating whether the licence is valid and when it expires.

It does not contain your files, file names, file contents, or anything extracted from them. If you are working offline, the software continues to operate for up to 30 days without contacting the licensing service, so that offline and restricted-network work remains possible.

Updates

The software does not check for or download updates automatically. New versions are downloaded manually from powerprr.com when you choose to install them. If that changes in a future release, this policy will be updated to describe what an update check sends.

2. The website

Unlike the software, the website does involve third parties. In the interest of being precise rather than reassuring:

We do not run analytics, advertising pixels, or session-recording tools on this site.

Payment information

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record and is the seller for your transaction. Payment card details are entered directly with Lemon Squeezy and are never received or stored by us. We see order and licence records — the purchaser's name, email address, licence key and subscription status — so that we can provide support and manage licences. Lemon Squeezy's own privacy policy governs their handling of that data.

3. Data we hold

Because of the design above, the personal data we hold is limited to:

• order and licence records received from Lemon Squeezy;
• any correspondence you send to our support address or phone number.

We retain these for as long as needed to support your licence and to meet accounting and legal obligations. We do not sell them or share them for advertising.

4. Your rights

You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to records we are required to keep. Requests relating to payment data may need to be directed to Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. Contact us using the details below.

5. Children

Power PRR is professional software sold to organisations and to adults. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

6. Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the software or the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
