Terms of Service & Licence Agreement
Last updated September 3, 2026
These terms govern your purchase and use of the Power PRR Redaction Desktop Suite (the "Software"), published by Power PRR LLC ("we", "us"). By purchasing, installing, or using the Software you agree to them.
1. What you are buying
An annual subscription licence to install and use the Software, including the Power Document, Power Audio, Power Video, and Power Radio modules, together with updates released during your subscription term and email support.
One licence covers one Windows workstation. You may move a licence to a different machine by deactivating it on the old one first. Additional simultaneous workstations require additional licences.
2. Purchases and merchant of record
Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record and is the seller for your transaction. Your order, invoice, and payment relationship are with Lemon Squeezy, and their terms apply to the transaction itself. These terms govern your use of the Software.
3. Subscription term and renewal
Subscriptions run for one year and renew automatically at the then-current price unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time through the customer portal link on your order receipt, or by emailing support@powerprr.com. Cancelling stops future renewals; your licence remains valid until the end of the paid term.
Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
4. Licence activation and offline use
The Software verifies your licence periodically with the licensing service, as described in the Privacy Policy. It is designed to keep working without a connection so that offline and restricted-network work is possible: the Software continues to operate for up to 30 days without contacting the licensing service.
If a licence expires, is cancelled, or cannot be verified beyond that 30-day window, the redaction modules stop working. Files you have already produced remain yours and are unaffected.
5. What you may not do
- Share, resell, sublicense, rent, or transfer your licence key, except as permitted in writing by us.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it.
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or licensing notices.
- Use the Software to break the law.
6. Your responsibility for redaction output
This is the most important term in this agreement, so it is not buried in the warranty section.
Automatic detection is an assistive tool, not a guarantee. It can miss sensitive information, and it can mark things that are not sensitive. Face tracking can lose a subject or follow the wrong object. Transcription and OCR can misread text.
You are responsible for reviewing every page, every frame, and every audio segment before releasing a redacted file. The Software is designed around that review step and shows you exactly what will be redacted before you finalise. Do not treat automatic detection as a substitute for a human check.
You are solely responsible for determining what must be redacted from your records, for verifying the output, and for complying with the laws, rules, and retention obligations that apply to your organisation.
7. Ownership
The Software is licensed, not sold. We retain all right, title, and interest in it, including all intellectual property rights. Your files, and the redacted files you produce, remain entirely yours — we receive no rights to them and, as described in the Privacy Policy, never receive them at all.
POWER PRR™ is a trademark of Power PRR LLC.
8. Warranty disclaimer
The Software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that automatic detection will identify all sensitive information.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or the disclosure of information that was not removed from a file you released. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Software is limited to the amount you paid for the current subscription term.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these terms. You may stop using the Software at any time. Sections 6 through 9 survive termination.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date at the top will change. Material changes take effect for your next renewal term.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. The exclusive venue for any dispute is the state or federal courts located in Pinellas County, Florida. If your organisation is a government body whose procurement rules require different terms, contact us before purchasing.
